QuestZones helps improve customer throughput in SPAR
Dublin, 5 July 2011: QuestZones, leading provider of managed broadband solutions for retail and hospitality industries, announces it is now an approved supplier of managed broadband services to SPAR stores throughout Ireland. QuestZones has already significantly improved customer throughput in 12 SPAR stores including Tallaght, Park West, Meakstown and Finglas.
The SPAR implementation uses three different QuestZones solutions across the sites – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Silver is a managed resilient broadband solution providing at least 2 different broadband connections managed by QuestZones with a 4 hour service level objective. The Bronze solution is a managed solution with one broadband connection. The services are connected with SPAR’s EPOS service partners and CCTV providers. The network also facilitates exchange of information from SPAR stores to HQ and also between SPAR stores and their EPOS suppliers.
Sean Heaphy, of H2 Group, which operates five petrol stations with SPAR stores, said: “We used to deal with a few different companies for our broadband services. Now we just deal with one company – QuestZones. That has significant advantages for us.”
Prior to the QuestZones implementation some SPAR stores were using dialup for their POS connection, resulting in slow throughput and longer queues as cards were being used increasingly frequently.
“The new service has significantly improved customer throughput, ultimately saving me the cost of investing in a fourth till,” said David Bagnall, proprietor of SPAR in Park West Business Park.
“It is clear that being ahead of the trend is important to SPAR to ensure continued leadership in delivering a convenient service for their customers,” said Mark O’Farrell, COO, QuestZones. “SPAR has won a number of awards including ShelfLife’s C-Store of the Year Award 2009 (SPAR Park West). Excellent quality service and choice is what SPAR is all about.”
QuestZones, based in Dublin, provides solutions in Ireland and the UK which enable processing of debit and credit card payments in as little as 4 seconds. QuestZones provides managed, resilient broadband POS connections to the retail and hospitality industries. Customers include SPAR, Aldo Shoes, Four Star Pizza, FXB Restaurants, Jackson Court Hotel, Carraig Donn, The Exchequer Bar.
